Chat line & Instant Messaging Terms & Conditions

Our Warmline is a free non-emergency resource for anyone aged 13 years and above looking for support, from Monday to Friday 9AM to 5 PM. You will e connected in a private session with a trained NAMI staff member or volunteer, who will communicate by typing messages back and forth.

If you are experiencing a suicidal crisis or need immediate medical services, please call 911 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255, or visit the nearest hospital emergency room.

We ask that you abide by a few rules:
• Don not use this service if you are not aged 13 or over.
• Do not embed images or videos in messages.
• Do no send links to other websites in your message.
• New messaging communication will not be accepted after 4:40 PM.
• Remember to close the conversation when it ends and make sure that you are in a private area if needed.

We take your privacy and security very seriously. We do not collect personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it to us when signing in.

Use of this service is provided solely at our discretion. Conversations may be terminated if rules are violated. Messaging services may be limited or blocked for users who engage in inappropriate language, vulgarity, harassment or other inappropriate uses.

This service may from time to time make additions or alterations to these Terms and Conditions, will be displayed here and will be effective once posted.

By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you permanently agree to release NAMI Sonoma County from all suits, claims and actions pertaining to your messaging experience.
