Terms and Conditions

Thank you for visiting the HELP4WV Chat service. The chat service is being delivered by a team of trained helpline agents and is provided for residents of West Virginia only.

The aim of the chat service is to provide immediate, accessible, short-term help to people needing support and resources to deal with substance use or behavioral health problems. The helpline agent can provide you with referrals and suggestions for treatment.

If you or a loved one are in crisis, please call us instead of using the chat service. You can reach us at 1-844-HELP-4-WV. If you or a loved one are experiencing a suspected overdose, this is a medical emergency, and you should call 911 immediately.

The chat service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment of any conditions. HELP4WV does not accept any liability for any injury, loss, or damage incurred by the use of or reliance on the information provided.

HELP4WV securely stores transcripts of chat sessions.
